ICOY’s 2023 Annual Member Meeting Highlights

THANK YOU to all of members who attended the 2023 Annual Member Meeting in Champaign. It was a pleasure to connect with you in-person again after a long hiatus, and we appreciated all of your enthusiasm and excitement at being together!

Thank you to our distinguished speakers who spoke to our members! We’d like to thank State Representative Lakesia Collins for sharing her story and reminding members how valuable the work they’re doing is for the community, especially our communities of color. We presented Representative Collins with the Champion of Youth award and are deeply appreciative for her legislative efforts in helping ICOY advocate for the betterment of Illinois youth and families!

Thank you to Dana Weiner and her team for providing a deep-dive into the Blueprint For Transformation initiative, as well as an update on the status of implementation as of June 2023. Our members especially enjoyed the break-out groups that allowed for deeper discussions within the four pillars of her initiative. We look forward to continuing to support Dr. Weiner as she works to improve children’s behavioral health and the systems that serve them in Illinois.

Thank you to Governor JB Pritzker for sending along a video message in support of ICOY, our members, and the work we’re doing collectively to improve the lives of children, youth, and their families in Illinois. We couldn’t do this work without the support from our leaders and we appreciate how Governor Pritzker continues to prioritize children and youth in Illinois.

Thank you to our Board members and especially our Board Chair Viviane Ngwa, MSW, LCSW for continuing to provide support as ICOY grows! Your leadership continues to shape our work for the better and we are grateful!

Finally, thank you to every ICOY member for not only attending, but for collaborating with us year-round. We are proud to do this work alongside each of you!
